Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect information about our customers and the brands we monitor.
This Privacy Policy explains how PerfectlyOkay Solutions (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., which trades as "BrandSecurer" ("BrandSecurer", "we", "us") and is the data controller, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our brand protection services, our website, or interact with us. We've tried to write it in plain English; if anything is unclear, email privacy@brandsecurer.com.
Legal grounds
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process personal data to perform our contract with you (operating the account and service you signed up for), for our legitimate interests (running, securing, and improving the Service and our detection logic), with your consent (marketing communications), and to meet our legal obligations.
What we collect
We collect three categories of information:
- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, work email, company name, and the brand domains you ask us to monitor.
- Configuration data. The keywords, geographies, search engines, and partner networks you configure in your account.
- Usage data. Standard service logs — IP address, browser fingerprint, pages visited, actions taken — used to operate the service and prevent abuse.
What we don't collect
We don't collect personal data about your customers or website visitors. Our scanning is performed against publicly available SERPs and landing pages — we don't place tracking pixels on your site, integrate with your analytics, or read your CRM.
Cookies and tracking
On our website and dashboard we use strictly-necessary and functional cookies — to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and keep the account secure. Our scanning service itself sets no cookies on the brands or sites we monitor. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though disabling necessary cookies may limit dashboard functionality.
How we use it
- To operate the brand-protection service you've signed up for.
- To send transactional emails (alerts, billing, account changes).
- To improve detection logic — always against aggregated, de-identified data.
- To meet legal obligations when properly compelled.
How we share it
We don't sell your data. We share information only with sub-processors required to operate the service (cloud infrastructure, payment processing, transactional email) under data-processing agreements. A current list of sub-processors is available on request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. Under the GDPR these include the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify data that's inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to how we process it.
- Port your data to another provider.
Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data. We do not sell your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@brandsecurer.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Opt-out
You can opt out of marketing emails anytime using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing privacy@brandsecurer.com. Transactional emails — alerts, billing, and account notices — can't be opted out of while your account is active, because they're part of the service.
Data retention
Account and configuration data are retained for the life of your account, plus 90 days after cancellation. Violation evidence packages are retained for 24 months by default; longer retention is available on Enterprise. Service logs are retained for 12 months.
International transfers
We process data in the United States and the European Union. When data moves between regions, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other appropriate safeguards.
Security
Material security incidents are disclosed to affected customers within 72 hours. For questions about our security practices, email privacy@brandsecurer.com.
Changes
When we materially change this policy, we'll notify customers by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
